The main leads in this drama serial are Hadiqa Kiyani and Bilal Abbas.
Hadiqa Qiyani is playing Mehrunisa wife of Hidayat Ullah played by Noman Ijaz. She is the daughter of Aurangzeb Leghari. Mehrunisa and Hidayat Ullah have two children. A son named Affan played by Osama Khan and a daughter named Minal played by Maheen Siddiqui. Minal is married to Zameer played by Nabeel Zuberi. Affan wants to marry a girl named Seher played by Sabeena Syed. Hidayat Ullah has two sisters, one is Durdana played by Sakina Samo and the other is Farzana.
Where as, Bilal Abbas playing the character named Mahir belongs to a broken family. His parents had divorce and married elsewhere. His father named Jahangir played by Shabbir Jan remarried to Aziza (step mother of Mahir) played by Fareeda Shabbir. They have two daughters, step sisters of Mahir. His mother played by Angeline Malik remarried to Anwar(step father of Mahir). They have a son named Azfar, step brother of Mahir. He also has a girlfriend named Narmeen played by Zoya Nasir.
Story Overview
Aurangzeb called his nephew, Hidayat Ullah from Germany, and gives him the responsibility of his business and gives him daughter’s hand for marriage, as he was very sick and unsure of his life. Mehrunisa was very young at that time. She cleared Matriculation. Where as Hidayat Ullah was 20 years elder than her. He was a matured man.
Mahir is an out of job graduate who has got a thick skin. Nothing affects him. Step father’s taunts, step mother’s bickering. He had a disturb childhood.
Episode 1
Story Review
The episode started on the death of Hidayat Ullah. Mehrunisa is in shock state, her children are crying. Durdana phopho arrives from USA to take a last look of her brother.
Mahir enters his step father’s room and took some amount from his wallet while he was in the washroom. And then goes out in the lawn just to give impression that he haven’t enters the house yet. He met his mother, but stepfather scolded him for wasting his time and not finding any job. He left. He receives a call from his girlfriend, he gives her a lavish birthday dinner. He lives with his father, where he gets insulted often by his step mother.
Mehrunisa is having flashbacks of her marriage. she is remembering how she has sacrificed her young age and she has become a mature woman. She molded herself according to her husband’s choices who was much older than her.
My Take
I want to comment on the exceptionally good direction. The introduction of the characters was enough to understand them and their backgrounds.
