Episode 10
Story Review
The episode started, Shabbo and Nani sitting in a room, Shabbo tells nani that Mashal and Mehreen had a fight that night but then they had a patch up. Mehreen made 2 cups of tea. But don’t know what happened then.
Meanwhile, in jail Mehreen is alone, nobody from the family even meet her. Safwan, is the first one, who approach her, he finds lawyer for her.
Tahir and Shagufta, are constantly blaming Mehreen for Mashal’s death. They call her murderer of Mashal. They clearly, said to Saleha and Aswad, that if in anyway they help Mehreen than they should not keep any relationship with us.
Saleha and Aswad go to the jail and meet Mehreen. She keeps saying to everyone that, “Mei ne nahi Mara Mashal ko”(I didnot kill Mashal).
Aswad tells his mother that he will help Mehreen to get out of the jail but he will not marry her. Aswad did not like the fact that why Safwan is helping Mehreen, even in jail.
My Take
The Episode was very depressing. Mahira Khan was the star performer. The helplessness she portrayed was heartbreaking. The way she said to Haroon that if i gets a bail, where would I go,”mujhey saza kaat lene do, kum se kum jail mei koi yeh tou nahi kahega k mera ghr nahi hai” (let me be in jail, as here no one will say that it is not my place)
Usman Mukhtar has finally brought up the topic that might be Mashal has committed a suicide. But ZQ very effectively shuts him up. Her dialogue delivery, timings, tone all were so brilliantly done. That particular scene and dialogue created a lasting impact.
