Story review
The episode started abba mia caught Noor red handed, stealing money from his bag. He shouted at her, ” it is a little saving I have for my funeral.” She ran away. Meherbano came, she ask abba mia to cool down, or he will get sick. He said to her this is what you are teaching her. Noor apologize her Khala.
Mehran came to give medicine. Noor received, he asked her to talk to her Khala about him. Noor agreed, Later she started talking to Meherbano, gave a long philosophical prologue, Meherbano said that what you did was absolutely wrong and here you are giving me a lecture about life. Stay quiet otherwise abba mia will listen, hearing this, Noor said, he should listen, he is the one who destroyed your life. You are imprisoned in a baseless relationship. abba mia has given us nothing, a traditional colorless living where there is no happiness and no ease. Meherbano gave her a shut up call but Abba mia heard all this. Later when Meherbano went to his room he said, “It is all your brother’s fault, who left us, Noor is right, she hates me”
Meherbano scolded Noor very rudely . She went away and hide. Meherbano searched for her at last found her. Both cried and console each other.
Meherbano, thinking about the past, flashbacks : her brother(Atif) and his wife(Afia) fighting, she says she doesn’t want to live with him, she loves someone else. He also shouts. Abba mia, ama and sisters hears the voices of them fighting in the lounge. Abba mia called his friend who was the father of his daughter in law, he talked about the fights, they both decided to fix Meherbano’s Nikkah with Afia’s brother(Murad). This way the bond will become a little stronger. After the Nikkah ceremony, later that night Atif and Afia started fighting again and he gave divorce in the rage of anger. Abba mia asked his son to leave the house.
Abba mia got sick, Mehran came and ask him if he needs anything, he said don’t interfere in our matters. You cant help us. Meherbano also asked him to stay away from our family matters. But Mehran said, “don’t try to stop me i will not stop coming here”.
Mehran’s mother visits Meherbano house to give invitation card of her daughter’s wedding to abba mia. She talked to him very nicely, but between the lines she mentioned that she wanted her son to get married as soon as possible. And also that Meherbano is getting old he should not keep her with him as she is nikkahfied.
Hero, Ahsan Khan driving a jeep in lush green fields. Came back home. Apparently his mother, met him. He said circumstances are getting worse. She said dont worry nothing will happen. Episode ends.
My take
Story telling is a little different in this drama. Characters and their stories are revealing slowly with the flashbacks and puzzles are falling into their places. Mawra is doing a great job.
