Episode 5
Story Review
Episode started Mehreen and Aswad talking in the Kitchen. Mashal came, Mehreen left. On way back Saleha and Aswad talk about Mehreen and Mashal. She observe that Aswad is being judgemental about Mehreen.
Mehreen went to her friend’s place to meet Safwan And his mother. His mother liked her and ask her when to bring proposal at home. Whether she should talk to her mother about the proposal or Nani?
Rabia went to Saleha’s place to give the wedding card of her daughter Anum. There she met Aswad. She asked her sister that did she talk to Aswad about Mehreen. but Saleha said Not yet but soon.
Mehreen went to Saleha’s place. She was not at home. Aswad was home he invited Mehreen in and gave her company. He give her the gift he brought for her, while he was helping Mehreen to wear the watch he brought for her, Mashal arrives, she got offended. Aswad didn’t understand why she gets upset. But he didn’t care. She left. Meanwhile Saleha Arrives. She always pleased seeing Mehreen. She saw a cigarette burnt mark on her dress. Which reminds Aswad that Mashal once told him that Mehreen smokes, obviously it was a lie but she herself left a mark for proof.
Mashal on the other hand went back home in anger and went straight to Mehreen’s room. There she found her diary. In which she read about Saffwan. And her fears about loosing Saffwan.
Aswad talk to her mother about Mehreen smoking habit. Saleha suddenly shuts him up.
Mashal called later that night to Aswad. He told her that he got surprised on her reaction. He always thought about her as a cool calm and composed type of a person. She asked him to lets go out somewhere. She told him upon meeting that adults are talking about marriages. He said he never thought about Mehreen this way. But now he has started liking Mashal. He will talk about her with his mother. Where as Mehreen with her friend talk about Aswad that how he is her loyal friend all her childhood.
My take
Mashal’s character is being played very well. The way she is telling all the lies keeping her expressions intact infront of Aswad. She is displaying a complete different personality infront of Aswad. Well played Kubra Khan.

Annie ziadi as Saffwan’s mother. She met Mehreen as the choice of her son. She really liked her. She understands her sensitive nature.
